Description
Product Features
It's that special time of year when Sugar Maple Trees run sweet sap that we collect, then take to the Sugar Shack where the sap is boiled down and made into various sweet products such as sugar crystals, candy and syrup. Ours is a small operation involving such risks as bad weather, while the large Sugaring Operations don't use tree taps and pails, but instead run tubing for less risk. Big or small, that first taste of sweetness is heaven in your mouth. In this game, we work together to put out the pails, gather the sap, boil it down into syrup and see how many containers of maple syrup we can make before the oh, so short Sugaring Season is done.

Company Details:
Jim Deacove started making co-operative games for his own family and was encouraged by friends to make more. The Deacove family was and is no different from others. Sharing toys, helping mom and dad and being kind to others are values taught in all homes. To find games which help reinforce such sharing attitudes, however, was very difficult. Thus, Jim and Ruth felt the need to create some. In 1972, the "hobby" became a small business. The games are still made in small quantities, as a labor of love. For 40 years plus now Family Pastimes has used eco-friendly materials in making of their games. They use 100% recycled pasteboard, water based glues, non-toxic paints on the wooden pieces, soy-based and latex inks on recycled papers, corrugated containers from recycled papers, recyclable shrink film and even take care to pack shipments with reused materials that secured from local retailers.
