This Award-Winning Block Set is crafted from locally-sourced, sustainably harvested maple hardwood, this set of Washington D.C. landmarks is a great introduction to some of this country's rich history.
There are 5 two-sided blocks, including 3 buildings and 7 monuments & memorials. The colorful kid-friendly graphics are printed with non-toxic ink. Most pieces are 1" wide for stability and easy play for small hands. The Washington Monument/Vietnam Memorial piece is 8" long. Comes shrink-wrapped.
This set depicts: U.S. Capitol Building, World War II Memorial, White House, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, U.S. Supreme Court, Lincoln Memorial, Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima), Washington Monument, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Company Details:
Maple Landmark is a wonderful company with great environmental policies. The majority of the wood they use (primarily rock maple, but some pine and cherry) comes from one source located just 9 miles up the road and is harvested from lands that use sustainable harvesting methods. As with our other materials, their finishes are purchased as locally as possible. Nearly all are produced in Vermont, by people they know and have worked with for many years.
